There must be some good news to come out of the world health crisis. In my case, spouse has stopped her customary, almost daily stop at local casinos. I'm sure everyone can think of at least one silver lining to come out of this.

I was just in LA, traffic was much less congested...

The house and garden have never looked so good, my daily driver has a front mounted intercooler, silicone hoses, new rear suspension and water/meth injection, loads of garage time for the other cars (only curtailed by lack of funds....that's also known as fiscal restriction from the wife!..."YOU WANNA SPEND HOW MUCH???), getting much better at beach casting (fishing from the beach in case you use a different name for it....I live on the beach so no "non essential journeys" involved!), lost a bit of weight and feel fitter (surprising as although I'm running a lot more I'm all drinking rather more lager!!) and I've been in contact with friends I've not seen for years! Amazing what you can do in 3 months lockdown (April, May and November). Back to the real world on 2nd December....when we will be real quiet until Xmas (as ever year in the caravan World) so hardly worth reopening until the New Year!!!

I will say for the general area, here in Maine people had really moved away from the outdoors. Many Mainers we’re getting trapped into that hustle and bustle of work but when the rona hit, many started getting back into the hunting, fishing and outdoor recreational type activities.

it’s good to see young people getting back into hunting and fishing, many have no idea. Here in Maine it was kind of a tradition! That’s how I grew up but now the bad...many first time youngsters didn’t get a good in person hunter safety course and have no clue what they’re doing but at least they’re out there and and if they can keep from hurting themselves or someone lose, it’ll be good. I hope! But one has to start somewhere!

Not really, my job is essential so no time off to tackle anything.. actually because of it I'm working longer hours now! They did shut the place down for 2 weeks when the shutdown was in place, paid everyone for the 2 weeks while a few of us worked the whole 2 weeks for the same pay:realcrazy:.

Kids doing schooling from home with 2 working parents is a real PITA, doesn't help that none of school work makes any sense anymore either. Haven't been to church for months, sorry.. not sitting for an hour with a maxipad on my face.. everyone's muffled, can't see the smiles, expressions, etc.

No, absolutely no good has came out of it for me... Complete **** sandwich on every account!

To add insult to injury I had back surgery in July, burned up all of my vacation and personal days on it so now it's one long stretch with no time off.:BangHead: Was really looking forward to the company Christmas dinner (excellent food, feel good moment with the higher ups all involved)... Cancelled do to the Covi!!

Just looking forward to Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's now and I'll be damned if I let them ruin it too!!

Well that's 8 posts loosely about COVID....and its not been bundled across to "Political" for going shouty, party political and childish.....yet........keep up the good work posters!!! LOL!

I’ve been getting a ton of projects done on the house and in the garage. I was able to get the Roadrunner up and running and on the road, and the convertible Signet too. Also did the deck and porch with new trex decking. The dog loves us being home, more tummy runs and daily walks. And it’s like one long summer vacation for my son.

I've been killing my "honey do" list and the bank account is building as our spending has ben restrained. Still riding my quad all over for fresh air and entertainment. I am not happy about the bar shutdown but, I understand why and it will end fellas.

I work in a hospital and my wife works in a infusion clinic that is starting to see covid patients so we have not missed any work. I would have liked to have taken a little time off to work on my barn and maybe gone fishing but cant leave my job right now. My youngest daughter is no good at learning from home so not a lot of good has come from it for us.

I'd say less traffic but that would be a lie nothing much has changed here still tons of fools out . Driving around!

Not much has changed for me. My job is to renovate the house. 4 rooms left.
The wife however saves 4 hrs a day and $500 a month commuting expenses.
She never nags, but her presence also deters me from wasting time watching The Velocity Channel.
