Today is my daughter's birthday

She lives outside of Ithaca. I'm not a finish carpenter by any means but I had some rough cut white pine from a tree I cut down several years ago. She asked for a bench near her pond so she could put her skates on. I made this.

Nice looking bench!
Wanna give it some flare!
Take a blow torch to it and burn the grains.
Then go behind with a Scotch pad rub down then stain it your color choice. It will give you a sweet tiger stripe effect.

It's much more profound in lighter stains

That looks great sir! I love building things for or with the kids! One of our daughters is here now, she wants to make something. I told her to figure out what and we’ll do it.
