Just got these side clips on my 66 charger back glass (one pic is stock ,other is new clip) and was installing them but they fit, or dont fit, the same, they dont reach the round resting point for the screw and when pushed down and the legs spread out when its tightend and any kind of adjustment has the clip grabber (for trim) down farther than the stock one shown, about 1/8", I dont have trim yet to see if it makes a difference so I need some advice, I certainly dont want to put the glass in and the trim not snap in or clip detach from the screw not being seated correctly-can anyone let me know if these will work

from my own past experience the new clip you used looks like the style that was originally used with permanent studs/t posts and not designed to be screwed in. First generation mustangs used that style clip.

Those new ones look like these and are for a newer application.

Thanks for the replies, yes I believe the ones I was sent are incorrect, they look like the push on stud type for another vehicle, the ones that you posted look more like the ones on the top and bottom of the rear glass, the ones on each side are different more of a square shape as pictured, does anyone know sells the side clips (not the top/bottom ones) for a 66? They dont seem to be that easy to find...

Thanks for the reply, the picture of the clips on eBay didn't show the side clips so I emailed them with the factory pic shown, more of a squared off and taller look, hopefully their in there and just not pictured, I asked for a pic of them if they are included so I don't get the wrong ones again.
