Hey guys, I finally got around to getting the car up and running (been a long time) we’ve made a lot of conversions on the car from a small block to big (383), auto to 833, changed the steering column to a 4 speed one and all that stuff. Using the original harness and hooking it up. My question is should the alternator have power to it all the time even with the key off is this normal?

Car starts up and runs. We’re just working out all the electrical bugs and gremlins now on the full restoration.
Gonna have more electrical questions in the future for sure lol

thanks
