hoping someone could help me by telling me about this tranny. My plan is to put it behind a 440 in my 69 satellite. It is a 23 spline, I do know that much. Can anyone help with the numbers? The sequential numbers stuff is confusing. Appreciate ya.

From a 1974 car built at Lynch road plant.
Was assembled 3-14-74

they built B-bodies and C-bodies there at that time.

You can use your 1969 automatic crossmember with a 1970 and newer trans mount.

Man I’m glad you commented. I had just learn last night that it’s a 74 with the dual shifter mount....one being for the b body.....I think. However, I was afraid that I would have to track down the correct crossmember. Dang glad to find out my auto crossmember will work. I certainly appreciate your help. Does that appear to be the correct big block bellhousing that will work with a 440?

Bell housing looks like odd bracketry on it. Take more pictures of it and one from the front. Unbolt it and the cast in part number is behind where the trans is mating to it.

Better photos of bell housing?
