What a wicked road

So is it me or has anyone noticed that most of this videos on FB are from China?

You need to take route 340 for a drive on Maui.. it was far out and down sometimes complete with a good pucker factor and I found out rental car companies forbid that road... after the fact

There's a story out there about a girl who went mudding with her brand new Jeep whateveritscalled and when the vehicle developed problems they voided her factory warranty on the count of the off roading that their advertising and exterior design seems to invite. I thought jeeps were supposed to be indestructible and all that?

Apparently the dealer she bought it from does not have a stellar reputation. Like $1700 for front brakes.

guy I work with bought his daughter a new Jeep a few years ago. TJ maybe? But V6 engine developed a knock at about 25K miles. Dealer wanted to not fix as they said there was evidence of off road use. His attorney got that fixed and Jeep put a new engine in it.

So as a society I guess we've now fully embraced the idea that SUV's, trucks and all of those sorts of vehicles aren't ACTUALLY supposed to go off roading. Terrific...

pavement pounders

Well I guess they've been doing that for years anyway. Guy I knew bought a then-new Corvette Z06 and blew the motor after two months because he tracked it every weekend. GM did NOT want to replace the block based on black box data but....its a Z06? Isn't that car SUPPOSED to live its life on the redline? Or is the Z06 package actually intended for the rigors of cars and coffee on Saturday morning instead?

I had an 07 Z06. There was an engine problem with valves dropping. And yes, only supposed to drive them a little fast and only to Starbucks or warranty work will require an attorney to fix it.
