Dot 3 original. Dont mix in silicone unless its a whole new system.

I have a 2013 T&C and in the owners manual it says

Does this mean you can mix the two if a newer system but not in older systems?

You must mean that you switched over to Dot 5? Dot 4 is not a synthetic. I think the only difference between that and Dot 3 is a higher boiling point.

Dot 4 can be synthetic, just like synthetic Dot 3. 3 and 4 can mix. Neither of them are silicone.

Yes, that is correct. I meant to say dot 4 is not silicone.

You're correct, went to DOT 5. My bad..

Congrats this is a very nice car. One of my favourites too.
I got a 69 charger r/t and i use DOT 3 brake fluid.

Learn the difference with the fluids there is this weird thing called Progress.
