Edelbrock cutting back?

That made in USA, Japan thing is decades old and as I understand is prohibited.
I would say more but this isnt the political thread.

As for buying up companies they cant be bought if they arent for sale.

Since ol' Vic died a few years ago
it hasn't been the same, engineering
or business-wise

too bad 'it use to be' a great well trusted American
owned & operated automotive/parts business

hopefully, they can weather the current storm
be a shame to loose them

The article states its the headquarters, not manufacturing facility. They are owned by Industrial Opportunity Partners which makes sense to consolidate management and operation staff.

"In February 2020, Industrial Opportunity Partners acquired COMP Performance Group, whose automotive brands include COMP Cams, TCI Automotive, FAST, ZEX and Inglese."
Yeah and we've seen some really great stuff out of Comp since then, eh?
/sarcasm off

One bright spot........... We have a high school kid that came to us through the school OJT program.
He works 3 afternoons per week at our shop. Gets out of school last 2 hrs to come to the shop.

He started off sweeping floors and washing cars, now we will let him prep parts , tear down cars , clean guns ect.
He's got to do a little priming off and on.
We tested him a couple times cleaning up bad deer hits :D and he keeps coming back lol.
His plans are to go on to body school at the area college once he graduates.
Good to see , We hope he sticks with it.

Kinda the way I started in a machine shop, handed me a broom, dust pan and some rags and pointed out to the shop and said have at it. Still in the trade 40 odd years later.
Sounds like one of the rare ones. Keep him humble and a little hungry and he'll turn out just fine
