Listing for a friend in OR 97544. I followed this build from the beginning and know it's a solid piece. Mike is also a reputable guy. Why am I not buying it? Because I already have two.

Depending on the buyers location, I can deliver in the Bay Area or about anywhere in CA north of the Bay Area since I make a trip to Mike's every so often. He has my 69 GTS 340 Dart for painting now and at some point I will be picking it up. I can split the fuel cost with the buyer. If this is to be shipped I can collect it and have it shipped from my commercial location in the SF Bay Area if that helps. Port of Oakland isn't too far for me.

Here are the details from the CL ad and the link - https://sacramento.craigslist.org/pts/d/williams-540-hemi-engine-for-sale/7271121612.html

This is a fresh build. Engine was built for a customer. Customer changed his mind and put in a Gen3 Hellcrate Hemi in the car. This engine was built with the best of everything.

Starting with a Mopar Performance mega block.

• Scat forged crank and rods
• Ross pistons that were heat coated
• Rings are plasma moly
• 10.6 to 1 compressions ratio
• Stage V Heads and Intake
• Cylinder heads and intake were ported
• Custom ground Bob Mazzolini racing cam (solid lifter roller)
• Cam specifications
o Gross valve lift 673 int 639 exh
o 293 int and 306 exh
o 109 lobe separation
• Isky Roller Lifters
• Smith Brothers push rods
• Stage V roller shaft rockers with Billet rocker stands
• Billet double roller timing chain
• Mopar Performance water pump housing with high performance water pump
• Billet Specialties front drive assembly (alternator, AC compressor, & power steering pump)
• Billet Milodon high volume oil pump
• Milodon oil pan
This motor cost over $30k to build and was built by John Arruzza High Performance Racing Engines. This is the last engine he built before he closed his shop.
We have video of the engine running in the 67 GTX before the swap to the Gen 3.

Is there information on intake? And/or carb recommendation?

That is local to me if anyone wants a set of eyes. For the right scratch I'll dyno it. I might be interested if it had the original accessories. Does he have headers for it?

Replying to the comments: Hooker headers are available. The drivers side #1 tube has been modified to clear the Schumacher mounts on a wedge K member. 440 pulleys and alternator bracket is included if you want it. Note: The Billet Specialties pulley kit was $3K new.

The engine as it sits with a dual Holley Sniper EFI set up was very streetable according to Mike who drove the car. The intake is a Stage V and has the marine carb spacing so you can run two Holley's with square bowls. The large displacement takes the edge off the big Mazzolini cam and that's what makes it streetable. This is the same custom ground cam that Bob uses for all his 511 CI and over street hemi builds. Video of the car running coming soon.

Here are the videos from his FB page. Hope they work.

Sounds very smooth considering size and cam profile. I wonder how close those Snipers sit to original location? If an original air cleaner assembly to the air grabber is feasible? I'm guessing some modifications. But might be minimal?

The carb spacing will not allow a stock air cleaner base. You can get air cleaners for the larger diameter air horns but doubtful anything is available for the marine spacing. I'd just get a repo or a modified/junk OEM base and modify it. I have access to CAD and CNC equipment and can easily have a new filler piece made to fit the air cleaner. Just cut out the entire center and replace with the modified piece. Plug weld in place with TIG to minimize warping. I can offer this service to the seller or buyer.
