Female Singers Who's Your Fave?

Whitney Houston may not be anyone's favorite, but she was certified as the most awarded female artist of all time by Guinness World Records and is one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, with sales of over 200 million records worldwide.

Whitney was beautiful and had an incredible voice but unfortunately wasn't smart enough to stay clean... Damn shame....

I never could get into Female rock musicians.
Alternative, POP, Country and EDM....sure. I can dig that.

Joan Jett? Pat Benatar? Lita Ford? Heart?
No thanks.

Band - In this Moment with lead singer Maria Brink....love this song, and most of their other stuff too. ;)

Love this mashup cover of Royals by Lorde, by the band Otep...Singer Otep Shamaya

I learned a few years ago that Kim Deal (also in The Pixies) frequented the same alternative/punk/hardcore hangouts in 1989 that I did in 1987.

Kind of a trip to see pics and read her posts about places I knew very well.
Almost like a time warp combined with an out of body experience.

If your a fan of Carole King, when you get up my way try and see the musical "Beautiful". Its a great show all about her life, you and yours will enjoy it
I saw her with James Taylor about 7 years ago. Great concert by both. We’ve seen James a few times, first and only time to see Carole. She nailed every song, outstanding! Many great ones named here. I’ve always had a soft spot for Tammy Wynette, Lynn Anderson, Barbara Mandrell to name a few. I’ve always liked a big variety of music except metal, rap or punk.

Clare Torrey tops them all for her ability to adlib that haunting solo in Pink Floyd's Great Gig in the Sky.

Sade, when you're in the mood.
Sade - No Ordinary Love (Lovers Live)

Lots of good artists already mentioned. A couple I haven't seen:

Mary Davis from S.O.S. band

Chaka Khan

I saw Reba McEntire sing an old Patsy Cline song "Sweet Dreams" in a concert one night and even right now just thinking about it ,the hair is standing up on my arms and have goosebumps cause it was so beautiful
