Depending on what pump is on your 68 you will want to get the same so the brackets will work.
Saginaw , Federal , TRW are all possible.
Post a pic of it.
Also check the hoses , you may just have a line leak.

The pump works it just makes a loud squeak on acceleration and shut off. I changed the belt and added belt dressing with minimal result.

One thing to check is pulley width.
If you have a Saginaw pump with a narrow pulley and the crank pulley is the wide groove there's your noise.
I've seen that more than once.
