What is the general consensus on the correct screw type, size, length, OD washer for the tail lamp cover?
I was just thinking the same thing.

From my XP29N0G:
CLOSE-UPS:
Not a separate washer, just a wide head.
Looks like a sheet metal screw thread.
All measurements rounded to 2 decimal points:
OD (across threads):
OD of head: 0.43"
Thread length (grip): 0.49"
I'm thinking we'll just call it half an inch
I used this end to measure the 0.49" grip:
OVERALL LENGTH: 0.61"
"WASHER" THICKNESS: 0.06"

I ended up using a sheet metal screw and painted it black.
