I have 2 transmissions. One is a 727 bigblock and the other is a A518 46RH with OD. The convertor that came with it has Lock-up.
I’ve dissembled my Plymouth years ago and I’m going to replace the 440 for a 2014 Hemi SRT8.

I cannot figure it out which convertor belongs to which transmission.

I know the input shafts are different. One convertor has a counter weight on the side.

Any help is appreciated.

The lock up converter belongs to the trans with the shortened splined area on the input shaft.

I’ve figured that out. However looking on the outside, which convertor is the one that belongs to the a518?

You did not tell us there were two converters. Drain them and flip them hub side up. You should be able to see the shoulder that accepts the machined input shaft. Or feel inside with a screw driver for the splines/machined smooth inside as far as you can reach.

I found out that the 727 has a 24 spline and the 518 has a 23 spline.
