milan dragway bites the dust

I thought saw, I live down the road from where he lives, good people, nice car

He certainly is. He was very helpful with the sale as well as getting me the guy's name he bought it from, a customer of his. I spoke to that guy but he really didn't have much info. That's where my trail went cold.

What help do you need to get it going? Let me know. I can help you with whatever you need. Believe me I know sometimes is gets old working on it by yourself. I do it almost everyday.

Thanks! I bought it from Pasko, who bought it from a customer of his (William/Bill). Bill told me he bought it from some guy Jim.

Jim was a toolmaker, who worked at one of the Dodge plants. Apparently Jim's son took the car out & ripped out the exhaust system going over some RR tracks. The exhaust system was redone but the pipes went under the rear axle not over it, so he took it to a place called Dave's Exhaust over on Michigan Ave to be redone correctly. Spoke to Dave, no dice.

Also, wondering if anyone ever saw my car on graph back in the day. Ideally I'd like to know what dealership sold my car as it was a sold car when built (Code 691 on the BS).

Small turnout last night for the Telegraph get togethers at the old Korvettes , just cosgig and I, but that’s how it starts,
Hoping for more this coming Saturday weather permitting

You gotta start somewhere. It will grow as word gets out and the weather gets warmer. I looked at the directions and it's a 10hr ride, actually not that bad of a ride but definitely not a 1 day trip.

Don't forget about Lapeer! Owner put a bunch of money in it and it's getting a lot of use. Never drove on it myself, so I can't speak to it's quality.
I've raced at Lapeer. It's now the closest strip we have to the City of Detroit. Last I checked, they were running a Friday though Sunday schedule. Lapeer made huge improvements a couple years ago so for the people who haven't been in a while, it's a much better facility than you remember. Good alternative to scratch that itch when compared to driving 2-3 hours for other tracks.

I still had fun, and it was great meeting Bill (under pressure). On the way home, I visited my childhood home, I wanted to get a picture of my car out front, parked just like my dads was in some pictures I have, but I didn’t want to bother the owners. On the way through Plymouth, I had a “spirited” encounter with a couple of young guys in a Mustang. They waited for me at the light, and rolled down their window and asked about my car, the passenger knew it was a 70, which I was surprised that he knew. When the light turned green, I nailed it, they struggled to keep up and eventually turned off, but they were nice guys. All in good fun! I’ll be down there again, but it is over an hour ride to get there for me.

Sorry I didn't make it out. Drove myself to urgent care. Been fighting a constant headache and next ache for 6-8 months. Blood pressure was through the roof. Guess that is what I get for not going to the doc for over 27 years. Of course now I have to go through a ton of tests to get me caught up on everything. If not next weekend. I will get out there soon.

Health first, then cars, take care of yourself and we’ll keep shooting for Saturday’s
Geoff and I had a good time Mopar chatting, and did a little cruise down Telegraph
Look forward to seeing you and others. think we got a good spot there
Good luck!

Glad you guys had fun. Doc wants me to chill and relax as much as possible for a week or 2. I will shoot for next weekend hopefully.

Lapeer is not that far from Port Huron. I did not realize they had a strip there. It might be a destination for us Ontario Mopar guys if the world gets back to normal and the border opens up again. London, Ontario is about an hour east of Port Huron/Sarnia, and a I think Lapeer is about the same west of Port Huron.
