Question about timing a 69 RR 383

Going from memory, I though that some stick shift cars were factory spec.ed near zero as well.

'69 x 383HP 4 gear factory spec is 0TDC. Won't run right there, but that's the OE spec...

My 68 was spec.ed there too, IIRC. But I don't recall it needing a bunch of timing either. But that was a long time ago, so I wouldnt bet more than a nickel on it

The problem with asking questions is you don't know who's right or wrong. lol I thank everyone for chiming in, I appreciate it, I have some ideas now what to check. Someone PM'd me and gave me a great article to read so I will go by that too.

I remember seeing that in the FSM and thinking WTF is that. Blew it off as early emission control.
