Always a good time cleaning the bugs out of those springs.
Yes, I get it. I am slapping the Roached Runner for this very reason. Hasn't been started, plated or even washed since 1977. Going to be back on the road this summer as is.I might get to go to a cruise this weekend, (one where they actually drive the cars). I figured I better get the car cleaned up. So I spent 5 hours cleaning and polishing and I’m about half way done. Plus there’s checking fluids, tires, belts and hoses....I’m always finding other cars I’d like to have but can’t figure out how anybody maintains more than one car, who has the time? Who says I spend hours of detailing each time I take it for a ride? I drive it all the time, that’s why it’s so dirty. This is probably the first total cleaning it’s had in 2-3 years. I spend very little time at car shows because I prefer to drive it than show it. I’m looking forward to this cruise because they actually drive the cars, (maybe 50 miles or so). Thought it would be nice to have it looking it’s best. Hope to be able to finish it by Saturday. Either way, I’ll be cruising Saturday, rain or shine!Beautiful car but if I had to spend hours of detailing each time I went for a ride, I probably wouldn’t drive it much.
Ideally 2 or 3 cars is better, with one being a nice driver. You can bring the show queen(s) when the weather is perfect and so is the car. In the mean time take the driver out and enjoy it. These cars were made to be driven!!
I'm in the mood to buy another, but I don't know what to get. We'll see if there's anything that tickles my taste buds down at Carlisle next month.
