I find it fascinating that people will play with these kinds of high voltages and/or currents. I know a small bit about electrical, but not enough to do anything this crazy.

As part of our safety training we have to watch videos where cabinets blast and the guy that was standing there is gone.. disappeared! Scary stuff when everything becomes molten metal.

He's doing this in his back yard! Where the ... is his power source coming from? Surly not from his neighbor. Did they show the part where he climbed the tower? Is there a transformer station next door? :screwy:
 
Watched the video a week ago and thought his neighbors must love this guy :eek:

The power is stored in the capacitor banks, and discharged all at once in a short burst. It is not directly connected to the power grid.
