I have a 70 Sat with the 318 but have a BB to replace it with. Is it easier to use a BB K frame. The BB already has the engine mounts but i don't think you can use them in the SB K frame if i remember right
Cheers

You have a V8 K frame. The only different K frame in a B body for 1970 was a Hemi K frame and a /6. Your BB with its motor mounts will bolt right in.

^^^^ if you have the right 66-72 big block engine brackets you're golden.

Actually i remember the guy i bought the BB off was putting it in his E body. He gave it a full build but decided to go Hemi
It's a stroked 400. Were the brackets different after 72

Later spool mount won't work in your 70, whats on the motor.

No spools so i should be good

Cheers guys

The 70-74 E body cars used the same mounts as the 62-72 B.

What about the torsion bars? Aren't they different for a big block?

That’s wrong. 62-65 B-body are way different,

It is 1966 to 72 B and C-body BB mount brackets.
70-71 BB e-body

It's a given that you'd change those
Maybe not to the original OP. I was pretty sure that was the case but it had been a very long time since I had done so and was just making sure my thinking was correct.
