Congrats. Love my modern Mopars. Miles of smiles. Read break-in carefully.

Yeah, break in. I may have violated most of that on the test drive. She was a little stinky with burn off when I got back to the lot the other day.

I thought I would try the line lock today but I go the “not available, new car” message. T minus 450 miles to go.

We’ll go easy on it but I’m in the, drive it like your gonna drive it, camp for break-in.

@Dennis H - I read the manual on break in. The dealer made zero mention of any break in when they delivered the car. Let’s see how I did so far:

0-100 miles
Don’t let the car idle for long periods of time - Check!
Don’t go more than half throttle, and not quickly - Oops?
Don’t go over 3500 RPM - Fail!
Don’t abuse the brakes - I think I’m still good here.
Don’t go over 55MPH - Do I hear Sammy Hager?

It would almost seem this ‘break in’ is more to keep people from killing themselves when they get these cars. No line lock or launch mode for 500 miles. That’s so they don’t totally abuse these cars at the dealership maybe? Anyway, I’ll go easy on it I guess.

Delivered with 50 PSI in tires. Otherwise, I’m hooked.
The 3:09 rear and 6.4 vs 6.2 and 2:62 in the Hellcat is noticeable. I love low end grunt. Mighty mopar Hemi. Ruby Red Gut too.

Did you consider a Challenger Scat Pack?

Nice Charger!

If I was to buy a new sedan for myself
it'd be a newer Charger...

like RC's Daytona 50th Anniv.

My sister's 2018 C-300 my dad bought
for her birthday, in Dec. 2017 was/is really nice too

but I would rather have a new TRX Rebel 1500
or SRT (hellcat) Durango AWD, much more useful up here
in all seasons

Great cars...but too many doors lol. Real Chargers are coupes!

(all in good fun! I really do like the new Scat Pack cars. Just wish they offered a 6M in the Charger like in the Challenger....)
