Fall Fling-25 Oct 23th 2021 Sat. @Woodley Park Van Nuys, CA

Looking forward to meeting/seeing fellow B members on Friday at the cruise plus after and then Saturday at the shindig. I'll be in the swap area selling my cast off parts for my 65 Coronet plus some other Mopar stuff and some universal goodies. Look for an 04 black Dodge 4 door dually with blue flames.

Does the Fling fall into this requirement?

No. We do not meet this requirement

We do not have 10K people.

People used to tar and feather the politicians they didn’t like. That would be a great start.

At the Long Beach auto swap meet people were mask-less and packed asses and elbows.

…but they don’t have 10K people. Which is why the Pomona swap meet has those rules moparmarks mentioned. Both in LA county

Neither does Pomona swap BUT the Fairplex board of directors doesn't want to miss out on all the fun of restricting people

I'm just reading off their website. I don’t have any special insight to the inner politics or dealings

All I can say, is f#@k the Pomona swap meet.
I own a house about five miles from the fairgrounds and I haven't been to the swap in at least ten years. That is primarily the counties' fault. When It costs more to park your car (AND they make parking on the local streets temporarily illegal, AND they ban walk-in entry) than it does to enter the show, I just don't go.
They do the same for the winters and the world Finals. If I didn't have free tickets, I wouldn't go to them either!

Pomona isn't **** unless your into Tri-Five Chevys, Six Three and Six Four Chevys and VW's
Long Beach is on my bucket list.

On a good weekend they may have 4000 people, who knows they might be counting the entire weekend to come up with their numbers. They probably have the capacity for 10k but no where near that on a Sunday. Fairplex board of directors is goose step with LA politics

It is a nightmare to get into before this pandemic thing. I don't know how they're going to turn away people after they've been in line for hours

Funny you mention that. I currently own a few 55-57s, and my folks have owned four 63 impalas, and a 64. I just junked the last 63 a few months ago. It had been t-boned on the freeway (long story).

The pre registrations are flying in now. About 8-10 a day now. Will ramp higher next few days.

Swap is looking good… Lots of two (truck and trailer) and many big three swap space (truck and 2-car trailer/driven car for sale etc)
