What design/part is not liked on your B-body?

The term "Muscle car" is of course argumentative. I have had this discussion not only here, but live. My Chevy friend with his '69 SS Nova. Try to explain why my '69 GTX is a Muscle car. And his Nova is not? As you can imagine? Good thing we are already friends. Lol. Bottom line? His Nova is actually a pony car. And not even a true pony at that. His Nova had options for a 6cyl. Hell, you could get a 4-door Nova? My GTX? Is Muscle or Bust! There are no family style options. You get big fast engine. Or even faster engine. That's it!

Kinda rare but... you could get a 4 cylinder Nova in ‘69. I think it was on the option list since ‘63.

oh... and an L78 396 Nova is certainly a Muscle Car.

Who says "muscle cars" can't be small block powered?

Who you kiiddin'? Torsion bars rule.

Nova a pony car??

First time I've heard that.

Is the Duster a pony car, too?

BTW, the Duster is so much a better car than the 2 years earlier 3rd gen nova it's not even funny.

Dusters are "hybrid" coupes without door posts but with a body stiffening B pillar, unlike 3rd G novas that all had door posts (funny the 2G 2D was a hard top).

Dusters don't "dog track" like novas are famous for either.

Funny ya mention Nova's dog tracking - a lost recollection for years. I remember being behind them back when and get into a stare wondering if it was going straight, lol.

Duster is a compact. And do not qualify as a Muscle car. I race a Duster. In my opinion? The best starting platform for anyone wanting to drag race with a Mopar. They setup well naturally for a hard launch. Of course with today's power options one can over power any setup. But for a inexpensive 9.90 sec or slower build? Ideal.

Two things I'd love to change on my '70 Charger:

1. seat height. Too damned close to the floor. I'm 6'4" and I still have about ninety inches of headroom...and my knees start to KILL me after about an hour driving it. I may very well make some spacers out of some box steel, and raise my driver seat an inch or three.

2. the optional right side "race" mirror...is a joke. Just big enough to tease you to think "hey, this thing may help me see what's behind me over there"...but the flat lens combined with the relatively short post it sits on, only gives me a glimpse of the ol' girl's big haunch. If it had a convex lens and one of those "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" etchings...it may be worth having. Maybe I'll see if a glass shop can make me a custom convex mirror lens for it...

You can make the glass yourself. Mopar Action magazine had a tech article on this very thing recently. The glass from Rock Auto was cut to size and adhered with super glue.

If Chrysler had done it right in 64 there would be no such thing as a pony car, they would be calling them fish cars instead! Instead Plymouth took an already ugly car and put an aquarium in the back seat!

No kidding. I have never liked the early Valiants or Barracuda cars.

I was never a fan of the 64-66. But in '67? That fast back began getting attention. And of course the '68 Hemi BO29 Barracuda. That thing is spooky even by today's standards. Can one imagine what that thing would do with even a 10lb forced induction boost? Today's muscle would stand no chance.

There are a couple of places online that sell self adhesive "OIMACTTA" mirror glass cut for classic car housings.
