1967 Satellite Dark Red HT, Color code Q, I think

I have a 67 poster from FatCat on Etsy. I received it in error and was provided the correct 66 Belvedere, and told not to bother returning it. It is approx 2' by 4' oval. If you have a dark red 2 door HT, contact me and I will forward it to you. I would like to be reimbursed for the postage after you receive it.

I am not color blind,but if I disagreed with a member,I personally never insult the member. Your comment showed Very poor taste.
I happened to have bought a a 2016 red challenger PR3,and it was the same color.
Did you?

if you think you know so much, take a photostatic copy at a paint shop of PP1 AND R4.you will find the mix is the same
If you look in the mopar 2016 color charts the torred red is actually PR3, Not R4. but, they are the same color.

Ok sorry you took it as an insult, that’s not how it was meant, I apologize. Great photo of the GTX you posted. No I don’t get into the late model cars so I don’t follow them at all.

So expanding on my comment and where I was coming from, red green color blindness is more prevalent in men, read here.

For paint codes we can refer to the factory service manual section 23 and the go to refinishing procedures and there are paint codes in there with Ditzler codes and Chrysler codes. This shows PP1 and R4 are different.


I say PP1 is a great red color and R4 has too much orange in it for me. Ive owned a PP1 1967 B-body for 35 years now and just love the color. I went to the 2019 aero reunion where there were dozens of the R4 red (orange) cars to see in all different light over the 4 days of the event.

I wish I had taken a picture of my GTX side by side with my red challenger.I also have the flame red 2012 ram, and the two cars were indistinguishable,and the truck was noticibly orange in comparison.
It isn't really Important, but I am not color blind.
stubborn and hard headed yes!
It could be when my GTX was painted in 2000 the blends were slightly different.
Sorry to fly off the collar,
now I have a 2016 mango orange, challenger, not quite the same as what my buddies 69 roadrunner was in 1969, but close enough!

Yes the new mixes of older (60’s) paints aren’t true to color and they need some help to get the right.

I wanted to say I switched from red because I found a mango orange with white Interior,, and I was just fed up with all the black Interior crap. Back in the day there had to be 17 color combinations, these days the car companies are so friggin cheap!
