I haven’t seen one of these in years.

I looked out my office door and there’s a Dodge Raider at the repair shop next door. It’s obviously a forgettable vehicle, but who would have thought that there were any left?

Most rusted within a few years.
I knew a BATF agent that had one and put over 100K on it the first year he had it for work.
Did allot of driving for his job.

There are two of them parked near my shop...

Interesting that the Mitsubishi version of the Dakota was sold as the Raider.

Mitsubishi version was called the Montero.
I don’t recall seeing the rebadged Dodge version out here.

Funny this came up as last night the body shop owner called me asking if I still had the defective R fender I got for my ’05 Dakota when ordering re-pops. The supplier didn’t want it returned sending me another. Shop recently painted rust-free box I located and fenders and told him I’d give him the extra fender to get it out of my garage. Well in came an ’08 Mits Raider yesterday with crashed R fender prompting his call. Took the fender to him today as we stared at the Raider. Something I wasn’t aware of, was the volume of interchangeable parts and then not, btw the two. Box, hood, and fenders aren’t the same, but look quite similar. Looks like the cab and possibly rear doors might interchange. Used a lot of the same mechanicals and gauges look the same. Weird something I didn’t know as I’m hunting down a couple of parts I can’t get from mopar.
