Very nice work. Your both is very similar to one I built to paint my ERA Cobra in except I framed it with PVC pipe. An air conditioning friend gave me an old squirrel cage fan and motor unit and I built a box and mounted it pretty much exactly like you did. I painted single stage so I didn’t have the fog clear coats generate and I was pretty surprised how well it moved the overspray in the booth out. I painted black and the air stayed pretty clear and I got a clean paint job. Did you use your blower to exhaust air or to blow air in? It looks from the setup that you used the blower to exhaust air which is how I did it also.

Used it as exhaust

Car looks greats. I think the way you do. I figure I can screw it up twice and still be cheaper, without the stress.

Nice! Any complaints from the neighbors about paint odors?

Not really, the blower makes short work of the overspray and fumes.... now the compressor is another story. Since everything was contained in the garage they could whine all they wanted but in the end there's nothing they can say or do about it, they tried but the code cop said I'm all good .

Finished up with the heat/sound deadener, damn hard on the back and knees installing it but happy with it overall .

Sunfire, SS1 on the fender tag
Same color as the 1969 Superbee I bought new. The 1966-1967 color is called Daffodil Yellow and is a little bit paler. My '67 R/T is this color, and is close to GM Butternut Yellow. Sunfire almost looks like it has a little green in it by comparison. Beautiful job, by the way. You should be proud.

I could be a bit biased as I roll in a Y2 yellow charger (which is wearing more of a top banana right now), but Y2 has really grown on me. I look forward to getting my car back to its original yellow some day.
Keep the updates coming. Thanks!
