Guys,
Has anyone attempted to repair the rust in the front section of the trunk lid? I cut 70% of the folded lip away and then carefully cut through the outer skin and folded it back. Was thinking of sandblasting the two halves, epoxy them and then weld the outer section back to the top lip, but it’s still thin and pitted and there is a bitumen type matting in there?. Or, cut along the length of the base where it’s rounded and remove the whole strip, fab a new one and weld/ bronze it along the folded top lip?
Thoughts please, much appreciated.
