I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire six shots or only five?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do you, punk?

@Cranky :lol:

I'm another "child" of the Dirty Harry generation. Huge fan of the series and anything else Mr. Eastwood
was in/produced. Still am...
I still remember the "hot dog" scene. "Now, just wait for the cavalry to arrive..."
When he comes out of the restaurant with a mouth full of hot dog and tries to yell "HALT!", it still
cracks me up every time. :-)

I had to have a Model 29 (pinned and recessed, please and thank you) and learned how to reload after
buying a lot of high-priced food for it...after inheriting some firearms previously, it was the first one I
ever bought outright myself. Loved that damn thing...got talked into trading it for a Dan Wesson.
Lots of pewpews later, I'd love to get my hands on another now.
It may no longer be the "most powerful handgun in the world"...but it's still a mule.

I also grew up in the Dirty Harry generation and also had to have that bad *** model 29. Here's to Clint Eastwood...

Same here. As soon as I was old enough and had the money, the first gun I bought was a S&W .44 magnum.

Oooooh, mercy! Nickel plated 6.5"?
fancy (2017_10_11 10_04_54 UTC).gif
Very nice, seriously.
(Full disclosure: My Dan Wesson was nickel as well. Polished that thing to death when
I wasn't shooting it...)

Other 50 year olds are John Denver's "Country Roads"
Eagles "Takin' it Easy"
Both songs always hit me while driving thru Winslow Az and when I hit the West Virginia border.

WatchutryintatellmeWillis??

I just had to screw up and sold my 44 when my divorce started......:(

I'm with you guys in the ownership of a S & W 44 Magnum.
That movie was a factor in me buying one.
I call mine the "Dirty Harry Gun"
You know the irony of that? When the movie was to be made, they had a hard time finding any for Clint
because S&W had practically stopped production on the Model 29 due to slow sales!

I bet sales picked up after the movie!?
