Anyone out there try to stuff a dual quad long ram in a 62 to 65 b body with an rb mill? What type of problems did you encounter?
What about clearance to air cleaners with hood closed? He would have to put another wedge under the carbs to get them to sit level again. If it just for eye candy, it would be easier to run an inline 2X4 like the '62 Chrysler 300H with Football air cleaners. I had this on a '64 Polara 500 I built, and it never failed to bring a crowd when the hood was opened. This was even a factory option on early 413 before the Max Wedge was introduced ( 385 hp. ). Also a dealer option on 361/383.I have a friend that is attempting exactly this, his solution is going to be to have angle plates made to tilt the rams up. This is a 440 in a 62 dart.
