Ugliest damn wheels I have ever seen.

had 2 of those bad *** schwinns

This one is a Phantom. Schwinn supposedly contemplated building a “Grape Krate” in ‘69.
Probably a story made up years ago.
This one has an October ‘81 frame, the last of the USA Chicago built Sting Rays. I built it to look like a 1970.

I just had a Sting Ray Deluxe. My buddy down the street had a Lemon Peeler.
There’s no accounting for taste with those fugly wheels.
But to each his own. Years ago when I co owned a plane, I flew out one morning to pick up a set of ‘450 wheels I bought.
When I was leaving I told the fleet manager what I was up to. When I got back and was unloading the wheels, he was scratching his head and said when you told me you were picking up some rare wheels for your vintage car, I thought you were getting something cool, not some plain old steel wheels!

Hey sorry but I couldn’t disagree with you more. There are many neighborhoods where you couldn’t park your ride for 5 minutes and any of those would be gone and on oh so fast.

I used my baseball cards attached to clothes pins to get me some audio - some of those were nice cards worth a few bucks today...well then there was my mother getting peeved at my old comic book stash trashing them in the 60's...some folks weren't meant to obtain a windfall I suppose.

those wheels are so stupid, it turned into a bicycle thread......... foose wheels aren't much different imo
