The Dorks have gone next level!

I don’t like slotted mags, I think I’ll start a thread about my dislike for slotted mags! I’m also not crazy about E bodies, lime green or Plum Crazy paint, so I’ve got a lot of problems! :)
Is that where you want to be when Jesus comes back?

I’ve seen these dealer pix many times. Road Runners with full wheel covers. A ‘70 with white walls on ralley wheels. And the ‘68 with the standard Satellite full wheel covers. I think I have almost 3 sets of those from all the ‘68 Satellites I’ve owned. But yeah… I never saw those on the streets. It was jacked up Cragars or Fenton slots. Later in the 70’s the Centerlines started showing up.

The originazi’s never restore them that way though.

They were meant to be smoked off in the first two weeks of ownership and promptly replaced with Super Stock Formula 1 raised white lettered tires!

Yes, and those were General tires. My parent's '71 Satellite came with those exact wheel covers and dual white striped tires.
I remember Vogue Tyre made a double stripe like that but it was a kind of yellow color. Usually saw them on luxury cars.

Most of them were 14" wheels too, not 15" so the purists are wrong too,
going that route, but it's an excepted deal, to go to a 15" wheel like
the Road Wheels that were 14" in most cases,
the 68 Chrome & latter the ones with trim rings,
often the wrong style on different years too
or the 14" rally's, or the 14" painted steelies/body color with the poverty caps...
Like a taxi cab...
Unless it was a Hemi car or something else that required 15" wheels to begin with
it's wrong & not factory installed either
so it'd be day 2 too

so you could say they aren't realty stock if they are a 15" with the poverty caps
when the car came with 14"
(unless it was a rarer car, like a Hemi with them or a A12 that had no caps)
they are then "day 2 too"

All of it is OK acceptable
(in many class/shows for judging & points camps too)
if it's what you want, go for it
just don't go all righteous on us all,
about it's what they came with or they're factory installed stuff,
when most weren't, in the way they are presented now
I understand too, 14" tires are getting far harder to find today too...

just food for thought, to each their own

Have Fun that's what it's all about
