The exact same thing happened right near my place a couple years ago! But it was a 4x4 chevy! Took out the otherside barrier. Went perfectly between 2 massive lamp posts!
I like the ratchet type but I always oversold the weight capacity. 2 ton for setting you car up over the winter but don't work underneath them.. Minimum of 6 ton for working underneath and the 10 and 12 ton are much better and safer for that. The higher tonnage also have a wider base which is more stable.
