GOD, I'm sick of these ********. Sorry, just have to vent.

I have a package I've been waiting on. Unfortunately, it got sent FedEx. I put a note with the shipper "please label 'OK to drop, NO signature required'".

They didn't.

I live on 4 acres. You can't even SEE my porch from the road. Nobody is coming from my neighbor's properties...at least, not without bullet holes in them. LEAVE THE GODDAMNED BOX.

UPS leaves the box.
USPS leaves the box.
Amazon leaves the box.

But, noooooo....FedEx won't leave the box. Instead, I get the little taggy thing on my door and they have NOT checked the little box that says I can sign here and they'll leave the package.

I signed it anyway, and added a note: "I am at WORK during the day. I cannot be here to get the package. LEAVE THE BOX and I will get it when I get home. Cameras will pick up anyone who shouldn't be here. LEAVE THE BOX."

That was Wednesday.

They STILL refuse to leave the box.

I am unable to call the local depot. I called the go-fedex 800 number and got someone in the Ukraine (based on the accent), who was "unable to find that information" when I asked for the local depot's number. She could give me the address...but no phone number. Web search? Gave me the gofedex number. And that's all.

I put in a request last night online to hold the package at the local depot.

It is, as yet, "unavailable for pickup". Why, you may ask? Well, it's because they sent it out again for another attempt to deliver it.

EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM TO HOLD IT.

Because yet again, I'll be WORKING FOR A LIVING, and not home to sign their little slip when they get there.

The depot is a mile from where I work.

My money? Is on this scenario:

1. they attempt to deliver again today, and despite my notes on the door, they will STILL refuse to leave the box.
2. they will not have the package available for pickup tonight, before I leave work...so....
3. TOMORROW, which is my day OFF, I will have to drive back to work (effectively) JUST TO GET MY GODDAMNED PACKAGE.

What is so difficult? If the OWNER of the package, says "leave the package here, it's OK"...well...LEAVE THE GODDAMNED PACKAGE!!!! The shipper doesn't own the package - the RECIPIENT does. If I say it's OK...IT'S OK!!! :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Yet they're my best courier up here. UPS and Canpar SUCK ! This sign's for them... $3000 worth of parts left down at the gate in the pouring rain.. only found it because I was putting the garbage out that night.

We live in the sticks and the gate stays shut. Fed X leaves packages at the gate, never inside the fence, or on top of a fence post! lol
The lifelong UPS lady will open the gate and bring them into us even though I tell her to just leave at the gate (inside the fence. Every AM. She drives 1 hour to their terminal, I see her at the end of her day, around 6 pm.... and them has to drive to their terminal , which would be 45 minutes and then another hour home!!!!!! She's been doing this 10 years and is a single mom. I have to give her credit!

...Maybe your couriers only read French?
Yah.. NO.. they're just lazy f's. UPS and Canpar will be out for delivery and one snow flake has them hightailing it back to the depot! Or UPS delivery... that sets stuff on the gate post for everyone to see and steal !

On a side note, the place you are getting the stuff from sometimes specifies signature required, so they can't just leave it, even if you say to. Not implying this is your case, but could be. Out here, Fed Ex is good, then UPS is good, then they swap again. I pretty much chalk it up to the driver. As far as the depot goes, a few weeks ago, I had ordered a new $5000 Ham transceiver, and it actually got to the depot in two days because it happened to be a Saturday. Well depot is closed to the public on Sat, and I couldn't get the damn thing until Monday. Not to mention Best Buy, I needed an adapter cable (Dvi-D to HDMI) for the remote monitor, so I get to the store just before 10AM just to find out that they NOW open a friggen 11AM :wtf::elmer:

I think your package was probably the least of their worries at the moment ... "yeah, we're taking heavy artillery fire but just you hold on there sir and I'll get that info for you" ... NOT !!

I ordered a Mopar radiator for my 2005 Jeep Wrangler from Rock Auto. They sent it by FedEx. I checked the tracking number and indicated it was delivered. Nothing on front porch so I tried to call FedEx. Couldn’t get trough to them. 4 hours later a neighbor 4 blocks away bought it to my house. Great neighbor. I emailed FedEx and they never responded. DHL is a terrible one also

And, as we speak, I expected a pair of heads from Summit Racing on Monday, but they arrived today...

I think it depends on what terminals and WHO is employed at them... Overall I have been lucky with most of my shipments, EXCEPT for when UPS ships through Jacksonville, FL..... I would LOVE to take a look at WHO is working there... Lazy A$$es, thats for sure..

When did FedX require a signature? Hell most of the time I don't think the driver even stops the van.....just tosses it out the window....at least I'm only 20 feet from the road.

Well I don’ have anywhere near to bitch about like you guys in more rural areas. I live in suburbia - but I swear nearly every package sent to my house ends up at someone else’s house. The funny thing is I pretty much know by now the several places these bonehead drivers think is my home - so when no here I just go out on an adventure walk to those other homes and always find my package. Believe it or not the only reliable one is USPS - but only because we’ve had the same guy for many years whom I’ve talked to often and know he actually cares about the quality of his work. He tells me he hates to go on vacation because he doesn’t like the **** job his replacements do. What a throw back. Great guy!

FedEx sucks big ol' Donkey Dick

I caught the last delivery guy standing about 20' from my deck
& throwing a package up on it
Lazy fucks
I sent it (security video) to FedEx, with a strongly worded complaint
never heard anything back from them

if I order something online or by phone etc.
in the comments box/section or to the representative I'm talking to
I tell them NO FedEx - No DHL

I'm rural too, I do live in a small community,
we all watch out for each other
11 or so miles from town/s in either direction

I get most my packages from UPS or USPS, both are steller here
I know both drivers,
the UPS driver guy & His wife that works in the shipping hub
near here, like 50+ miles down the hill in Angle Camp area,
both since 2005 or longer
both live right up the street from us...
Good people...
Go out of their way to get it here & intact,
document any damage to the box, will wait If I ask them too...

the US Postal Service guy is sort of new, younger guy
the lady that used to do it (15+ years I know of)
trained/taught him very well, he walks any packages,
even if it can fit in the box
up-to the door 5 or so steps, rings the doorbell etc.

DHL isn't any better...
mostly subcontracted out to rural deliveries,
lil' vans, with magnetic DHL signs of them
shitty lazy drivers & extremely poor handling of packages...

yup...USPS is the best around here, or used to be. We had the same rural carrier for 25 years until she retired the first of the year. Her replacement is known as "Two Stop" because it takes a minimum of two stops to get your mail. I get my neighbors mail now. Sometimes for people that live on different roads miles away. Young twerp that shows up an hour an a half early because he leaves mail behind at the post office.

FEDEX is the worst here as well! Especially in winter. I've told the driver repeatedly to call me and I will meet them at their convenience, but NO!
YEP! They Suck!

I’ve sent 5 packages thru FedEx. I paid extra for signature delivery. The first 4 got dropped off, the drivers never asked anyone to sign for them. Number 5 got dropped off and the driver signed it himself. He even spelled the recipients name wrong. Kim

FedEx absolutely sucks! Rock Auto use to use them a lot. Their software is damn stupid too, it's the only one that doesn't understand that Rd. is an abbreviation for Road. It fucks up everything as I use the abbreviation on everything else with my address. Their drivers are just as stupid; I have a long, shared driveway. My house & the house at the end have the same number but theirs has an A after the number. I watched 2 Fedex drivers drive right by me outside while I was waving my hands. They never even looked. Also, I have 10" tall white on black numbers on my shed facing the main driveway. DHL did the same thing. Yesterday while I was leaving for work, the Fedex guy drops a box at the end of my neighbors driveway, and because I saw him he says he doesn't want to risk getting stuck on ice. There was NO ICE! The driveway was completely clear. I also noted that the same driver left another box at the curb down the road a bit. It was food from Blue Apron and it was a straight run to the house which you could see from the road. The guy was just a lazy f_ck! Also, I have an insider on FedEx, my brother drives as a subcontractor for them and I know first hand how bad they SUCK! UPS, USPS, & Amazon have always been good!

Requirement for a signature was waived for all couriers in Ontario during our 6' distance measures the past 2 years... whether you paid to get one or not.
