Was gonna say but beekeeper said it first!
Had my 66 Belvedere going on 34 years.....gotta get it back together before I croak. At least got to enjoy it for the first 10 years and even went 7 rounds for the win one night....slowest car on the track lol
Mine is Hanover Fisk, via Heavy Metal fame. Loved the movie as a kid, and see most Mopars and Marines as this dude.....hehe.
Good to have goals before you croak. A win is a win, the slowest car must have been the best tuned and most consistent car that day you won.
I figured that I needed to get back into cars now, or it wouldn't happen. Started with putting together a, new to me, Dart roller I picked up. Simple car with AT and mostly parts I had in storage, that I can drive to the strip and hopefully won't be as demanding to keep up as the Dodge was. Just got it running after about a year's work. If it goes well this summer, I might try to clean up the old Dodge and run it a few times before I move it on to someone younger and more ambitious.
Or lucky lol but yeah, the car was real consistent and my lights weren't bad either and was dang near perfect in the final. Usually cutting a good light is sometimes a problem for me but that night there wasn't any problems. Had a 10.60 car that was deadly consistent too but back then, even though my lights weren't bad, the other competitors were usually better. Also, it's not real easy for most that are faster to compete against a slower car....and my final round competitor dialed in a full 8 seconds faster than me!

Back in the late 90's when I started coming on line to forums I wanted a bull/cow to represent my user name but couldn't find one I liked, eventually I came across the logo for the Manitoba Moose AHL hockey team....I modified it to look a little more cow/bull like and have been using it ever since.
I've always wondered, why the handle thrashing cows? Are ya a cowboy/rancher?

Nope nothing of the sort.
The name actually comes from a conversation with a friend in high school. I've always been into hard core metal, punk, thrash, alternative music, well I had a friend in HS in my drafting class who was also a fan of the music and one day we were just spit balling names for hypothetical bands....I came up with "The Thrashing Pink Cows" and when I started coming on line and needed a user name I remembered that conversation and band name, so I just dropped the pink, and became Thrashingcows. ;)
