My 64 Plymouth. 430" hemi, Weiand tunnel ram, 2 holley 750 do, small isky roller,big milodon oil system, 65 torqueflight, 9" A and A converter. Dana 60 w/4.11 gear. Still needs a lot of work but it's drivable. Been at least 4 years down time.

Since this is the 64 thread I will ask here. Long story short, I have restored dozens of Mopars since the mid 80s, but at 74 I am about woreout, to dong the heavy, on the floor work. Back about 95 I took a 64 Savoy slant car and built me a 440 4 speed, toy street car. Loved it. I have never been racer.
As always it found a new home back then and when the chance came along about 1 1/2 years ago, I bought the same kind of beast a friend put me onto.
Now. I have done all the metal repair, the whole epoxy primer, urethane primer, blocking and topcoat as I have always done. Turned out pretty nice, not perfect. Close. So it is painted, I added the SmittyBilt A100 style buckets, its a roller. I would still add a 67 * 3/4 I have and I would put in any big block I could find if I keep it.. But, I hate to think about me and the wife finishing it and I never have paid for this work done and ain't even considering such.
So I have advertised it everywhere. Price at $10,000. which I feel is a fair price. Almost had it sold twice for $9000. One guy didn't want to pay transport cost and the other guy agreed on a price and then wanted extra parts for free. Guess I was hardheaded. So I still have it.
We are in Tx.and I know stuff brings more on either coast. Am I out of line with the price?? I realize if it was an original big block car it would be worth more, and it costs some bucks to build a MW clone also.
Are early B bodies losing audience? I have owned many A bodies and slant Dusters that have had a SB dropped in and are nice are bring stupid money.

Not out of line as far as price goes. 2 door post car,solid,extras, what more can you ask for.
Yes, early B's have a smaller audience than later B's. Maybe try other areas. Craigs List ?
Facebook market place ? Just gotta find the right person. I just sold most all of my cars and parts and basically gave them away because of loss of interest and physical problems.If you need to sell you may have to take a hit. If not the right person may come along.Just gotta put it out there and wait.

I think the early B-bodies are still popular with us older grey hairs. It is getting so expensive to get into '68-'70 B-bodies that people are looking for alternatives. Now, the undervalued '66 and '67's are starting to heat up in popularity. I think your price is reasonable. Your $10,000 in U.S. would be $12,500 up here, and don't think it would remain unsold for long. There is a pretty strong Nostalgia Race faction up here and solid early B-bodies get snapped up.

Seems a bit cheap to me for a painted shell and the 2 door Savoys are in demand.

I think the market is small, due to some( like me) prefer the 2 door hardtop. So, you have people who love 64s, and then those that love the sedan body style.

Do you have the door panels? They can be impossible to find in this market.
Maybe clean up the interior, so people can see your good work.

Just got this home. 1964 Dodge with a 340 4 speed from a 1973 Cuda. If I had more money I'd put a 426 Hemi in it. Unfortunately half the interior is missing, including front seats. No fender tag, no build sheet to go from. Back seat is from a Plymouth too... so planning to install roll cage and do as a vintage Nascar tribute to Bobby Isaac. I've got some scale model decals I'm going to enlarge for patterns to make the proper shape numbers and such. I've seen a couple car done up as Bobby's car, but they're way too clean and perfect to even come close to passing as a vintage race car and they have wheels that just don't look right. I plan to add some little details like black rubber scuffs to the paint and make it really feel like it's been raced hard. Does anyone know the proper wheels for this vintage of Stock Car? I also have a few 1967 Satellite's here and I want to do up one as a Petty Tribute. I've seen what looks like Ford or Smoothie wheels in vintage photos of that #43 car... so little confused on what wheels and where to find them.
