Mike Bossy wont be down for breakfast

LeClair padded stats against bad teams when it didn't matter...... the Lindros teams of the 90s won nothing

the Bullies of the 70s almost started WW3........ they made the russian army team quit lmao........ the ruskies returned to play after being informed they wouldn't get paid...... Flyers went on to win the game 4-1, the only NHL team to beat them

THE FLYERS RED ARMY GAME, THE ROUGHEST, MOST BIZARRE HOCKEY GAME EVER

I relate mostly to the 70s and 80s........... for me 9 was "the hound" Bob Kelly, and 10 was Bill Clement......97 is an uncommon number and must be Jeremy Roenick.......... 30 and 43 I have no clue

# 9 --- Dainus Zubrus
# 10 --- John LeClair
# 30 --- Garth Snow (my goalie, G M , and friend)
# 43 --- Martin Biron (my goalie, too, a Great, Funny Guy,
But he still owes me 2 cheese steaks !!)
# 97 --- yes J R, a lifelong friend of mine, he and his parents --- I have a # 27 Black Hawks signed, a # 97 Coyotes signed, and the # 97 Flyers signed...

I have about 80 signed Islander jerseys, &
Just shy of 200 overall !!!

Tough to get more now, since we are not at the Coliseum, you can't get to where our players are at this new arena,
And there is no more Marriott across the street, where I used to see all the opposing players....

This has been a BRUTAL year for My ISLANDERS....
We've lost 4 Time STANLEY CUP Champion / Hall of Famer
Clark Gillies, then
2 Time STANLEY CUP Champion Jean Potvin
(Older brother of the Greatest Defenseman in Hockey History Denis Potvin) , and now
4 Time STANLEY CUP Champion/ Hall of Famer /
573 Goals in 10 seasons (bad back) -- at 57.3 goals per year (with a season high of 69), the Greatest Pure Goal Scorer in Hockey History....MIKE BOSSY...

All three (3) are Good Friends of mine, and I would always look forward to their bear hugs and handshakes when I see them .....

We will all miss them all... R.I.P. 9 , 4, and 22.....
4 Time STANLEY CUP Champion
My condolences on the loss of your friends...

What a line --- Trots, BOSSY, and "Jethro " / Clarkie....
Anyone care to mention any line in Hockey History, that was almost their equal ???
Many almost... none equal. ( P.S. I go back to Rod Gilbert's rookie season ) I grew up a Rangers fan until that 1975 playoff. First game rooting for the rangers > third game Islanders fan.
