Back seat

Hanging the back seat there's two clips that holddown the rear shelf. Don't remember seeing them show . Thought the seat would hide them. Hanging the seat, the clips show. I guess they were painted ?Just wondering do they have to be there they hold down the shelf somewhat.

None of my cars have those clips.

They had them when new. They were plated a dark charcoal color, now yours are surface rust. The seat is higher than the shelf and you don’t see them from the front, only through the back glass. If you aren’t looking for them you wouldn’t really notice them.

I put mine back on ....cleaned up and painted to make look better

Ok . Thank you. I might take them out or paint them . But true can't see them from the front. Thanks for the info
