Have been on our local Search and Rescue for 15 years . This Winter we were putting on an Avalanche awareness class to the public when a young guy rode up on his snow machine and informed me that a woman had driven off of a bridge and was seriously injured . 3 other SAR members and myself were able to respond to the scene in less than 15 minutes . Normally this would have been about 1 1/2 hours to get to this location after their 911 call . She was in fact seriously injured and suffering from acute hypothermia also . Just plain dumb luck that we were at that particular trailhead that specific day . She survived and is slowly recovering . You just never know sometimes ...........
