I bought one of those cheap scopes that hook to your phone several years ago. You know, the one that is shipped directly from China for $10 or so. What a pile of crap. Really not even useable. So I want to get another one, but this time must have its own screen. See there are a few on Amazon and Ebay in the $40 range. Anybody tried them, or have a better recommendation? https://www.amazon.com/LOTENE-Indus...1652741969&sprefix=endoscope,aps,1898&sr=8-13

I got one from HF, works well.

We use one at work made by Rigid (Home Depot) and it works excellent. Lists for about $100.
I have a Rigid that I bought years ago. It works fine, but I want a smaller one. Something that I could stick in a spark plug hole for instance.

My brother uses a masterforce one in his mechanic business. I borrowed it once to look in my fuel tank and was very happy with the image.

I have this one.

Works great. The sock fell of my aftermarket crappy 3/8 fuel sender. The socks just slides on and glued on those. No nipple ridge to secure it :screwy:.

I ran the endoscope though the filler pipe of the gas tank. My buddy was underneath the car with various coat hangers, long needle nose pliers, double jointed long nose pliers, etc. Through the fuel sender hole.

We managed to fish out the the fuel sock. Then we added a nipple with a flare tool. All has been well since. No way we could have done it without the endoscope. And the wireless was nice since it was a two person job.

I have a Rigid but the head is to big to fit into the plug hole.
I did buy the one that connects wirelessly to my phone and love it, its not a $10 cheapy but a $30 chinesium made. Only problem I had was making sure it was charged!

I must have bought a similar one...I remember there being quite a buzz here about buying them.

CameraFi was the software package - and once you had that, the borescope became useable.

I took a few shots inside my new BluePrint Engine upon arrival....among other photos on jobs.

Hey kiwi, what camera is that, is cameraFI the software and the hardware? I have a harbor freight standalone unit which is pretty decent but the resolution is not that good quality compared to the pictures you posted.

Hi there, it actually comes with its own CD and software...but I am sure I downloaded CameraFi after that. Here are some pictures of what is in the package...I bought 3 of them....that's how much I trust Chinese products, and at $10 each, it was worth getting a spare for my buddy, and myself.
