71 440 found for sale

Would like to were I could find numbers on block to verify that it is a 440 and what the numbers might be thanks

The pad on the top by the distributor will say 440. If ‘71 the letter G will be there. Also on the passenger side will be a casting date.

The last 8 of the VIN should be stamped on the block, supposed to be on the left side above the oil pan. Useful to check if advertised "numbers matching"
