A 426 is a RB block, distributor in the front.
A 340 LA block, distributor in the rear(which they said was used) was made into a 305

My fault I looked an old magazine which was a 376 hemi I stand corrected

I watch more NASCAR races from before 1975 than races today. It has been totally ruined, more like the early IROC racing but without the exciting personalities.
