Are the new pitman arms exact same ,. Same with the idler arms. Are the bends the same. They should be as far as I know. . Should be the same no matter the make. Anyone know if this is right. I bought a pitman arm but it's for a 72 not a 69 gtx which. I'm looking for.

i got mine at Advance Auto for my 69 road runner fit perfect they are moog if that helps

Just went through this on my 69 Bee. There definitely is variances in the bends of idler arms. I can't remember what brand I had on the car for certain, but think it was from PST. The steering link did not sit parallel to the ground. Seemed to work ok however. Ended up finding some older USA made McQuay-Norris FA605. They are nice with the big metal washers like originals and the steering link sits level.

The Idler Arm is still available by MOOG --- though Chineseum made now ---
That is correct for 1968 - 1972 " B " and " E " body.......

The PITMAN ARM, however , by application for " B " body, is
1962 - 1970 ---- & ---- 1971 - 1972 ---- so, A) they are NOT the same,
B) both are OBSOLETE by MOOG, no one is obtaining them Made by MOOG easily, and C ) I have all of them , in stock , manufactured in the U.S.A.....

P.M. me, as per forum rules, if interested.....,

Craig.....

I just got mine shipped today . wondered if they shipoed the right part. Book says 65

Hi. I bought the same thing from pst. I bought a pitman arm a long time ago fir 69 gtx and it comes up 71-72 challenger cuda after checking part number 2835878. So i bought one from pst thinking be different . its the exact same. There catalogue says 68-71 for gtx but the part comes up 65 -72 belvedere? Does your car ride better with the older part. I hot to call kanters back .thats where i got it from to see if they shipped the right part.

Bought a pitman through mobileparts liking USA made. It replaced the OEM and did the fix exactly as I hoped it would.

Kind of hard to say if it steers better or not. I feel better about the steering link being parallel to the ground and like the big metal washers on the FA605.

@Bonehead70GeTeX, you will have to explain why you are dishing out the big red "X". Can't see much in that response that a guy could disagree with.....

He did a big mea culpa in the general disscussion area after I clued him in due to getting blessed with an X on another thread.
