It's nothing new... When I lived in Las Vegas in the early 70's we had flash floods, When my dad was out of the Army Air Corp & before he enlisted in the Air Force he crossed that area in a 48 Chrysler & wound up stranded for weeks because of flash floods... I'm quite sure it happened before 1950 & I'm sure it's happened a few times since the 70's....

Europeans evidently are running out of ways to use up their 3 months of vacation time if they're spending it in Death Valley.
Meh... That is what the Monsoon season does. Roads, driveways, and such do the same here; that is why I have a 4x4... Some years the monsoon is light, some years non-existent , and some years, like now, is very wet. It has rained most every day since June, but it should be slowing down by Sept, easing into a nice fall...
Yup..my family there has been reporting some extra good rain this year. But I just come for the ammo!
Heck yeah. I love desert and mediterranean climates..I've ridden the Trona 308 which is a bicycle ride from Santa Clarita, through Mojave to Trona and back...
I can only imagine the joy of cruising that route in my Mopar..!!

I’m the 90s I was seeing this German woman. Her parents were visiting from Germany and HAD to visit Death Valley. In the summer. Yeah….

She said that for some reason, many Europeans are interested in the desert and the mystique of it all.
Buddy of mine who’s a hardcore 4 wheeler told me there’s a lot of 4 wheelers heading into there to take advantage of the torn up landscape.
Is that the main road that take you up to the area where the Star Wars canyon is located?

Some of the groups I've been 4-wheeling with
(from what I saw in the vid) would consider
that run a walk in the park.
They're known for overcoming any obstacle
that stands in the path of their route.
"No scars, no proof" is their motto.
I just couldn't get myself to tear up my
Jeep, and would usually end up spotting
for them, and I'd find the easy way to the
next obsticle.
I too, find it interesting that we have
foreigners roaming our deserts.

Maybe that's the case but if so then i wasn't aware of it.
I personally really like las vegas but not necessarily because its in the desert.
I do Death Valley just about every year. Do an annual ski trip in Mammoth Ca. And usually end it with a day or two 4wheeling and hiking in Death Valley. was there In February

The tourists are on motorcycles and driving rentals. So, they're not going there for 4 wheeling.
