I bought some once but was never able to bring myself to using them. Always eventually got them to seal the old fashioned way. They make a flare gasket (FlareMate) which I hear works well.

The gaskets work great! I had a hard time getting mine to seal properly and the gaskets took care of the problem. Going on three years with them in service and no problemsThey make a flare gasket (FlareMate) which I hear works well. They are pretty simple. But yes, 220v would be my choice.
The most I was able to pull on a home system was around 340 microns.
