Center console lid nuts

All, what size and style tread cutting nut is used? The ones I got from the hardware store and too deep and cannot engage when put up to the hinge…thanks.

They are acorn. The acorn nuts on my console lid suck. They engage, tighten a little then spin around.

the aftermarket acorn nuts are junk, haven't found a better substitute though

Well dremel for the win lol. Shorted up my hardware ones and they worked great.

Mine too. And they are the originals to the car.
