Hey Everyone,

I just saw this advertisement; Cars On Line.com | Classic Cars For Sale

What caught my eye was the RR has toggle switches located inside the glove box that turns on and off all lights except headlights. The car also has a power retracting license plate that is operated from the window cluster and an oil slick and smoke screen machine. Supposedly this was a moonshine running car but seems very suspect since the illegal moonshine business slowed to a halt in the U.S. in the 1950s; :wtf:

The seller also says the car has a positrac rear end :wtf: so he has no idea what he is talking about.

Anyhow, those Missoura Boys are crafty!!! :p:p:p

Hahaha that is pretty slick right there...

Pretty sure I remember a couple guys still running shine back in the late '70s into the '80s. Believe they were from Georgia. Saw it on TV so it's gotta be true.

I remember something about those boys. I think they were trying to legit, but the pressures of the local Law Enforcement coupled with the corrupt County Officials made going straight & narrow quite the task. I believe they were adopted unofficially by their Uncle, who did his best to assist in difficulties as they arose on a day-to-day basis.

I’m sure they didn’t mean any harm. They were fighting the system like two modern day Robin Hoods.

Think we’re talking about the same fellas?

There was a guy who was telling about their antics in song form, but we only ever saw his hands, and not his face on TV.

And that guy wound up singing a song or two with the fella who played the uncle in the movie version of said “moonshiners” a couple decades later?

Ok ok  I’ve highjacked this thread enough! Been fun kiwigtx.

I can still fetch a jug of squeezin's anytime I like 'round these parts....
Some folks still participate in the trade despite not wanting to be on TV. :)

It’s not 75 large worth of slick.

70 RR or GTX is high on my list of contenders for a 2nd B body if ever, probably never.
Your opinion / gut feel for a fair value of this vehicle based upon what can be seen in the pics?
(Disregard all the gizmos of course, I'll just go to the liquor store.)

Top dollar these days for one that’s properly restored to stock is 60-65K. This car is not properly restored.

Mr. Norm’s was a Dodge dealer… they ain’t working on no stinkin’ Plymouth! :D

Cool beans.
Thanks Mr. Cranium.
Like I said, not a likely acquisition. I can't seem to get through the Charger and it's just about six years!
Maybe after I get tired of these 16 hour work days....
This car is not properly restored.
Understood.
