Name something that you never should have bought.

My Yamaha dealer retired and closed the shop, so trying to buy local I purchased a 2003 Polaris XC700 what a pig that was. How embarrassing the 600 Yamaha I handed down to my son would run circles around it. Best part about it was resale, some how Polaris had people brain washed.
Sh!t!! They got you into one lacking the 3rd cylinder!!

Should have bought a hemi Cuda for $800 with a spun bearing back in the late 70's.

95 Intrepid ES
Terrible car ! When I met my wife (1999)she was driving one of those. She was on her second transmission.Put a 3rd transmission in it and gave it to our daughter when she moved several states away. That tranny went bad too. When she went to have it repaired and told me the price, I said tell the shop owner to keep it and you will send him the title.
She found a used Saturn and put almost 300,000 miles on that sucker!

1998 Mustang GT convertible. Crap from day 1. Traded it 9 months later on a new Dodge Ram 1500. Best day ever !

I’m never disappointed because I always I’ve always stuck to this mantra, “Buy high and sell low!”

Another car....71 Super Beetle. NOTHING super about it! Glad I got it cheap with 30k miles on it but it came back like a bad penny shortly after selling it. Damn thing needed yet another valve job. Auto stick to boot. It was faster than a 4 speed cars only because of a longer first gear and could 'power' shift it lol but it was only quicker up to about 75 and that's when the 4 speed cars would catch back up and run on by it. The Intrepid was a much better car than that 'stoopid bug' was.

A smart phone. Can never get back all the time I've wasted on it. But too late, now I'm hooked...

I’m sure quite a few guys have already said this but I‘m going to chime it in any way.

A diamond engagement/wedding ring for my first wife. I knew it was a mistake before I even did it. And boy did I suffer heavily for it……..

Engagement ring/ wedding band cost to much and they get to keep them. Second wife is just happy with a place to live, not worried about status.

I have a twist on this. I still have my first wife after 45 years. No regrets there. But the ring itself was a financial mistake. Wife never really liked it, we sold it at scrap value a while back, about the same as the original price. Makes me ill when I think of what my other investments did during the same period. She used the proceeds of the sale for a new ring that cost 4 times the price of the original. She's never flinched when I've purchased any of my GTXs, so I guess it payed off in the end.

95 Dakota Ext cab V6 AT. After about 5 months the fuel pump went out. On the way home from dealer after fix I stopped at gas station to fill it up and gas ran all over the ground. The idiot at the dealer forgot to put the grommet in around the vent line. Made them haul it as I wouldn't even start it because of gas leak. About a year later the trans stated acting up. Every night on the way home from work I stop at the gate in the drive and open it and get back in and no forward gears unless you rev it way up then BAM it would start moving. Take it to dealer and they find nothing wrong. Drive it another 6 months, still doing the same so I take it back again. They say torque converter is bad. Same old **** every night after work. Back again they pull it back out and overhaul it. I pick it up and see right off the bat it's not shifting right. Drive it about a month and it really starts acting up so back to the dealer I go. Didn't make it half way and it leaves me walking, no gears at all. Call them to tell them where it's setting with the keys in it. They finally decide to replace the trans. It's all but out of warranty now but the new trans fixed it. About 6 months later the radiator top tank splits open, so it needs a new radiator. Luckily I bought the extended warranty and it covered it. Got it home and the next day put an add in the paper to sell it.

I have a 95 V6 Dakota with AT reg cab pickup that my dad left behind in 98. Can't kill the dang thing and I've tried!! lol It's even made several passes at the drag strip and have done lots of one wheel peel smoke shows. Nothing on it works all that well these days but it's good enough to get by with and still has a solid body even though it's been outside most of the time.

Always can use a good truck for haulin' stuff. Long live the Dakota !!!

Horrible Hamilton. Turns out it was powered by a "pull-string" that was not really visible in the commercials (was a x-mas gift I specifically asked for).
