I finally got my car back from the body shop after 2.5 years so have been reassembling and can't figure out where these brackets go. I had them bagged and marked with all the window hardware but can't find a picture of their location. I have the body service manual and it doesn't show in the window section. I'm working on a 71 road runner.

I can’t recall those pieces on my Charger 74 which is pretty much the same than 71/72 Plymouths.

They go from the back side of the door handle to the upper door frame, (the two tabs slip under the nuts). The rubber piece faces the glass at the top where its attached.

T2R9 thanks for the reply that's the spot! Unfortunately the glass is installed alignment done and is in the way.

If you pull out the bottom rubber stop you might be able to lower the glass enough to get it in.

First thing I tried was pulling the stop and it's too tight to mess with so I'll just remove the 4 screws holding the glass and that shouldn't change alignment. The problem with these window installs is the lack of access holes to reach most fasteners.

Oh yeah I get that! Just did all the glass on my 71. PITA!

Damn, I can’t recall that piece on my 74 door… maybe just used on 71/72 Plymouths?
