Big block engine K-frame.

I have a 73 Dodge Charger SE with the 400ci engine. The car is all original with the paint job being the only exception (it was Light Blue and at some point repainted to a nice bright dark blue).
To the point. The front end seems to have a bit of a wandering (loose) feel when driving down the road. I know that all the bushings, sleeves, and grommets on the front end will need replacing.
But while I was looking under the front I noticed that the K-frame has some unusual metal kinks and weld points not really spot on.
I'll get some pictures to show y'all.
But for now, does anyone have or know where to get a K-frame for a big block engine? AMD doesn't have them and Stevens Mopar in Alabama is also coming up short.
I really want to keep her OEM as much as possible, however it seems I may have to start looking for new after market parts.

I'll post pictures this week.

Looking forward to the pics. The "kinks" you describe may be perfectly normal without seeing them.
The welds on the K-Frames of these cars always suck. Good penetration typically with little regard for aesthetics.
Function over form.
 
There are a few Mopar specific wrecking yards but you have to be persistent to get what you want.
Wildcat auto wrecking in Sandy, Oregon is one. I've been there. They did have some 3rd gen Charger stuff in 2017.

More than likely the K-member has rot around the rear bushing area.. This allows the k-member to walk around.. I built my 74 years ago was a 10 second street car… After a few years of racing I had that issue. When I tore it apart the rear k-member was rotted out and did not even need to remove the bolt on the passenger side rear mount as it fell out after removing three bolts. I replaced it with a low mileage rust free one. These are readily available through the 75-up big block b-body platforms like Cordoba, Fury and Charger…

Well the passenger side looks a little funky, but I don't think that would cause it to wander, welds look about right. Not sure if it's the camera angle or not but it looks like the car leans to the passenger side, could be because of K frame.
Like QuickBpBp said, you can use a 400 B body K frame up to 78.

That lean you're observing is due to the one ramp that I used so I could get under the car and take pictures. My full ramp set was stolen during our move. Just bought a new set today.
Good to know that K-frames going up to '78 will work. I was limiting my choice by year and forgot that such items were used for multiple models and years.
I'll let y'all know what fun I find.
