THESE ARE NOT COLOURIZED. Although Kodachrome and Agfa colour film were still decades away, the Autochrome Lumière process, invented in France, was patented in 1903. These weren't printed on paper, they were viewed much like a slide transparency. Here's a sample from way back when, the dates are when they were first taken.
