why does this remind me of a bench seat of an early 70's new yorker??

A friend who's dad worked at a buick dealer got him a traded in 76 electra 225 with that interior.

i think this couch might be a litle smaller than the back seat of a 225

Older friend of ours had a late 80s Chrysler 5th Ave. My wife called it the couch car because of the seats.

That's the electra.

Was that same color in a white car.

For some reason that pic says it's 1440 pixels. sure don't look it.

Man, if I was in South Carolina I’d grab it, it would pair well with my log cabin couch

In the early sixties my Dad had a ‘59 Electra 225 4 door. I still remember how nice that interior was. The car was black with gray cloth seats. The tufting was more populated than that couch. We drove it from near Rochester, NY to Detroit for an uncle’s wedding. My parents and four kids, ages 5 thru 15.

My first car was a 1970 New Yorker four door, triple green with a 440. We would load it up with 3 across each seat and still not be touching shoulders. Loved that car and only had two complaints. The lack of a sure grip on mine along with 3.23 gears (I think) made that steel brick a dog off the line and no matter how I drove it, 8-10 mpg was best I could get. We were poor high school kids but had many a Drewry's beer in that car, since it was $4.99 a case.

Looks comfy but for $600 I would expect the cushion material/colors to match. Looks like the side of a car with mismatched paint on the door!
The center cushion is in backwards; the rear panel has a sheen on it usually. Either that, or the "grain" is rubbed the other way on that one. But my money is on "in backwards".
