Just to set the the record straight . . .
(L to R) Linda Vaughn (Miss Pure Firebird Gasoline), Richard Petty, Ronney Householder*, Lee Petty (Richard's father), and Miss Japan in the 1964 Daytona 500 winner's circle.
*In 1964, F. Ronald “Ronney” Householder took control of Chrysler Corporation’s racing efforts. The rest as they say is history. Householder would lead Chrysler Corporation to some amazing successes in racing, which continue to this day. Ronney was the man in charge of operations. The man who took Chrysler racing to the top.
